Five EPC packages under the Gujarat R&B national highway division. Sadbhav Engineering told the stock exchange on 1 September 2017 that it was the lowest bidder for Bagodara–Limbdi (43 km, Rs 504 crore) and Sayla–Bamanbore (38.14 km, Rs 396 crore), each with a two-year construction period. The Times of India, citing RTI replies, reported on 30 January 2023 that the Rajkot–Bamanbore and Limbdi–Sayla sections were assigned to Varaha Infra Ltd, that the department said the two contractors holding four sections had defaulted with only 40–50% of work done against a January 2020 deadline, and that it issued Sadbhav a notice of intention to terminate on 21 December 2022 after allowing a sub-contracting arrangement in July 2022. A later official grievance reply, reported by the same paper in August 2023, instead attributed the delay to forest permissions, utility and religious-structure shifting and the pandemic. The contractor for Ahmedabad–Bagodara (Package 1) is not named in the sources read. The start year is inferred from the 730-day contract period and January 2020 deadline. The R&B site showed Package 1 (km 16–56, Rs 485.96 crore) at 97.94% and Package 5 Rajkot–Bamanbore (Rs 488.44 crore) at 83.03% physical progress as on 24 December 2025. In March 2025 the state told the Assembly that 193 of 197 km in phase one was physically complete and that total spending would be Rs 3,350 crore; the Centre in July 2025 put the combined contract value at over Rs 2,100 crore.

Contractor as listed by Gujarat Samachar on 25 June 2024 (single source); its table names 'RKC Infrabuilt' for this package while the article text calls the contractor of packages 1 and 4 'RKC Infrastructure Ltd'. The table prints the package amount as Rs 2,500 crore, which cannot be right because the same article puts all five packages at Rs 1,250 crore in total (it is probably a misprint for about Rs 250 crore), so no package cost is shown here. The same report carried AMC opposition leader Shehzad Khan Pathan's allegation of Rs 240 crore of corruption through deviations from the tender design, including a claim that the contractor of packages 1 and 4 built a diaphragm wall instead of the specified RCC boxes and was paid Rs 99 crore; the standing committee chairman said there was no corruption and an additional city engineer said work was proceeding as per the tender. Awarded
23 Aug 2024

Single item-rate contract for four flyovers valued at Rs 391.16 crore in total (ADB lists about USD 45.3 million, contract dated 23 January 2025). DeshGujarat's September 2024 breakdown gives the Ramol flyover as Rs 80 crore, 900 m long and 27 m wide, but its four figures do not add up to the contract total, so no separate cost is shown; a May 2023 report put Hathijan, Ramol and Panjrapol together at Rs 243 crore. The foundation stone was scheduled to be laid by PM Modi on 16 September 2024, and AUDA announced traffic diversions in late December 2024. Award (23 August 2024), start (1 October 2024) and scheduled completion (1 October 2027) are from an ADB monitoring-report table.

Knocksense reports a total cost of Rs 226.48 crore shared equally by Railways and the AMC, with the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) overseeing construction; a December 2025 Gujarat Samachar table lists the overbridge at Rs 113.25 crore. Ahmedabad Mirror (October 2025) says RLDA took up the project in November 2024, while an RLDA officer's LinkedIn post says the work was entrusted to RLDA in January 2025 and that dismantling of the old bridge was completed on 22 December. Sources disagree on the old bridge's age: Ahmedabad Mirror and the LinkedIn post say it was built in 1922, Knocksense calls it 83 years old, and the AMC's July 2025 age list gives 1940. Knocksense describes the replacement as four-lane; Ahmedabad Mirror says the railway portion will go from four to six lanes. The new bridge is about 497 m long with a single 107 m bowstring-girder span; by October 2025 all 132 piles and about 80% of the substructure were reported complete. RLDA's station-redevelopment EPC contract went to a DRA Infracon–DMRC joint venture in November 2023, but no source opened states that the bridge is being built under that contract, so the contractor is left blank.

AUDA invited bids on 1 February 2025; DeshGujarat gives an estimated cost of Rs 893 crore for Package 2 (39 km per one report, 39.25 km per others, western side). A July 2025 DeshGujarat report said AUDA received nine bids for one package and eleven for the other, without saying which, and that contracts would be awarded soon. In November 2025 DeshGujarat reported that AUDA was set to begin work by 7 December 2025 on an annuity model with 15 years of operation and maintenance; the overall programme (put at Rs 2,000 crore to Rs 2,200 crore in different reports) includes 11 overbridges, 4 underpasses, 2 river bridges and 5 foot overbridges. In July 2026 an AUDA official told the Times of India that the work had been assigned to two companies and that the Bhat underpass would be built as part of the widening; the companies were not named. No source opened gives an award date or confirms that work has actually started, so the contractor, award date and start date remain unconfirmed.

The standing committee approved the work on 5 March 2026 (reported as Rs 236-240 crore) and Gujarat Samachar reported that the tender was awarded to D R Agarwal Infracon. In June 2026 DeshGujarat reported that experts from IIT Roorkee, IIT Gandhinagar and bridge engineer Mahesh Tandon advised full reconstruction rather than a new superstructure on the roughly 53-year-old piers. Gujarat Samachar reported on 25 August 2026 that at an AMC general board meeting Congress leaders alleged the contract went to Dineshchandra R. Agarwal Infracon through a single-tender route, that the firm had been debarred for 20 years in 1997, and that the cost, initially projected at Rs 241 crore, would approach Rs 300 crore; the municipal commissioner responded that the debarment, imposed by the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board, ended in 2017.
