    A notification published 8 December 2025 declared intent to acquire about 55.54 hectares for the km 56.8 to 98.3 stretch in Patan district. The Ahmedabad-end section (Gandhinagar to Bhuval, about 40 km) has not been tendered.

    NHAI invited bids in early 2026 (due 19 March 2026) at an estimated Rs 3,739.69 crore; DeshGujarat reported on 24 March 2026 that no bids were received despite extensions. Overall corridor cost is quoted as Rs 10,534 crore, or Rs 10,621.71 crore in another report.

    According to The Metro Rail Guy, construction tenders were invited in October 2022 (the page says for three packages, while its table lists five packages, all marked cancelled) and were cancelled in November 2023. A January 2023 government list still showed the project at DPR stage with a Rs 6,200 crore estimate.
