L&T's infrastructure arm states (archived page) that L&T was shareholder and EPC contractor in Ahmedabad-Mehsana Toll Road Company Ltd, an SPV promoted by the Government of Gujarat, and executed the 51.6 km four-lane toll road plus the 11 km Kadi–Kalol spur on SH-41 on a BOT basis; it gives the project value as INR 3.78 billion (Rs 378 crore), including strengthening the old two-lane road and adding service roads, and says L&T exited the SPV in July 2006. An ICRA rating note on Gujarat Road and Infrastructure Company Ltd gives the commercial operation date of the Ahmedabad–Mehsana stretch as 20 February 2003. A January 2026 DeshGujarat report quoting the state government instead says the road was originally built as a four-lane highway in 1999; the two dates are not reconciled in the sources read.
