Ahmedabad Mirror (28 November 2021) lists a Rs 60.99 crore flyover with work to start in July 2019 and a January 2021 deadline, says it was ready about ten months late and awaiting inauguration by the Chief Minister, and prints the builder as 'Ajay Construction Company'. Ajay Engi-Infrastructure Pvt Ltd lists the Zundal flyover for AUDA at Rs 609.94 million among its own projects (self-reported), which matches that cost. The Times of India reported in October 2019 that the foundation stone was to be laid later that week. The formal opening date was not found.

AMC issued the work order in 2015; Vibes of India reports a fixed project cost of Rs 50.88 crore, a tender approved at Rs 39.87 crore and a final bill of Rs 35.55 crore. The contractor's own project list gives a contract amount of Rs 39.87 crore, award date 10 April 2015, completion 30 November 2017 and work done of about Rs 34.68 crore. Media reports quote the cost anywhere from Rs 34 crore to Rs 50 crore (Rs 34, 37, 40, 42 and an 'official' Rs 50 crore). SGS India was the project management consultant. The company name appears in sources both as Ajay Engi-Infrastructure Pvt Ltd and Ajay Engineering Infrastructure Pvt Ltd.

Reported as approved on 1 April 2021 with a March 2024 deadline (DeshGujarat; another report says the flyover was first approved in 2017). AMC issued two notices to the contractor over delays in April 2023, and about 5% of work was pending in March 2025. The superstructure was complete and a load test ran in mid-April 2025; an opening date is not confirmed in the sources read. Shifting a high-tension line underground added about Rs 18 crore. In November 2025 Swarajya, citing The Times of India, reported that AMC had withheld payments on this project while seeking to recover the Rs 3.90 crore cost of demolishing the Hatkeshwar flyover from the same contractor.
