When expansion-joint bolts worked loose in December 2025, the AMC said the repair was being done by Ranjit Buildcon Ltd, the contractor that built the bridge, at its own cost under the guarantee period. Per the opposition's figures the cost rose from an estimated Rs 59.59 crore to Rs 65.91 crore after the design went from four to five lanes; retaining the Gandhi statue beneath the flyover is said to have added about Rs 10 crore. The Times of India also lists this flyover among AMC projects that ran late.

Ahmedabad Mirror (28 November 2021) listed the flyover as a Rs 78.47 crore job that started in March 2019 with a September 2021 deadline, with Ranjit Buildcon as contractor. A slab fell during a stressing operation on the night of 21 December 2021; DeshGujarat and Vibes of India reported no injuries, and Vibes of India named Ranjit Buildcon as the contractor and said AUDA had asked the Roads and Buildings Department to investigate the cause. A September 2024 Gujarat Samachar article instead describes Ranjit Buildcon as the only company willing to complete the flyover after the collapse and says one person was killed; that account conflicts with the 2021 reports on both points. The findings of the inquiry and the opening date were not found in the sources read.

The Gujarat High Court dismissed a PIL against the project in January 2025; it said the petitioner's allegations about the contractor were not solid and left any complaint about the firm to the Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department. A December 2025 report said the work was awarded at Rs 78.61 crore against an original estimate of Rs 62 crore; a September 2024 Gujarat Samachar report described the award as a Rs 109 crore contract to Ranjit Construction, which it called part of the same group.
