AMC approved a tender of about Rs 63 crore (reported variously as Rs 62.79, 63 and 63.23 crore) in February 2026 to lift spans with hydraulic jacks and replace bearings on Girdharnagar, Chamunda, Cadila, Nathalal Jhagda, Chandlodia and part of Chimanbhai Patel ROBs. The figure is for the whole package; the contractor is not named and work start is not confirmed in sources read.

After the Gambhira collapse and a defect found at Subhash Bridge, DeshGujarat reported in December 2025 that the AMC had sanctioned a Rs 2.89 crore tender for height-restriction barriers on 16 old bridges including this one; an update on the same report says the decision was shelved for now and implementation suspended. The cost is for the whole programme, not this bridge.
