Per DeshGujarat (16 December 2023), the flyover developed potholes in the June 2023 rains; AUDA issued a notice to the contractor, Rachana Construction Co, and the project management consultant, Casad Consultants, under the three-year defect-liability period, and experts from SVNIT Surat began an inquiry. AUDA announced a six-day closure from 16 to 21 December 2023 for pothole repair and resurfacing, with the contractor to bear the cost. No source opened reports the outcome of the inquiry or confirms that the resurfacing finished on schedule.

The AMC standing committee approved the flyover in February 2023; the DeshGujarat report of that meeting gives both Rs 235 crore and Rs 165 crore and a 30-month period. Later reports give the cost as Rs 197.98 crore (DeshGujarat, Nov 2025), Rs 206.60 crore (Gujarat Samachar, Dec 2025) and Rs 276 crore (DeshGujarat, Aug 2026). Work began on 17 July 2023 per DeshGujarat (March 2025; an August 2026 report says 16 July 2023) with a 36-month period; progress was put at about 40% in March 2025. Reports attribute the delay to forest-department land in the alignment and utility shifting. In August 2026 DeshGujarat and GSTV reported that the AMC standing committee fined the contractor, named as Rachana Construction, Rs 50 lakh for slow progress and extended the deadline to July 2027 (ThePrint says June 2027).
