    Tender floated in July 2026 at Rs 24.81 crore excluding GST (the 2025-26 draft budget had pencilled in Rs 30 crore). Scope: rebuild the underpass, widen the carriageway from 6 m to 7.5 m, add a lane towards the RTO and build two-lane roads along both sides of the railway. DeshGujarat gives an 18-month period, The Live Ahmedabad about two years.

    Western Railway closed the underpass at night from 29 November to 8 December 2025 and again in day and night blocks from 19 to 28 March 2026 to replace worn plates and strengthen the track structure. Separately, it was closed in January 2026 while Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon launched bullet-train viaduct segments nearby.
