Ahmedabad Mirror reported that the redevelopment was awarded to PSP Projects and completed in December 2020, with HCP as design and tendering consultant; it put the project at Rs 38 crore, against the Rs 33 crore announced earlier. The same report described a dispute over five-year streetlight operation and maintenance, for which the AMC separately engaged Citelum India. A first sample stretch was shown in April 2019.
