First tendered in 2019 (Rs 14.60 crore per a July 2021 Ahmedabad Mirror report, Rs 17.85 crore per its November 2021 report) with a six-month period. Mirror's November 2021 project list shows work starting in March 2019 with Katira Construction as contractor, but the body of the same article says work could not start then because of underground utilities (ONGC gas and other lines), redesign and then the pandemic, and that it began only after AUDA brought in a new contractor; it does not make clear whether Katira Construction is the original or the replacement firm. The same article says, citing unnamed sources, that the consultant was allegedly responsible for the delay. A May 2025 report counts one foot overbridge on the ring road as existing; completion date not found.
