Deck lifted about 50 mm with hydraulic jacks; 126 of 144 bearings replaced during a roughly 45-day closure. Divya Bhaskar (June 2021) reported that the tender was allotted to Sanfield (India) Ltd at 29.20% below estimate and approved at Rs 2.54 crore on 16 September (year not stated), and that extra repair items added Rs 1.19 crore, which was put to the standing committee; the report gives the resulting cost as Rs 3.86 crore in its headline and Rs 3.73 crore in its text. Wikipedia quotes Rs 3.25 crore and says the bridge reopened by late April 2021.

Foundation stone laid in 1956; Construction World says the estimated cost at that time was Rs 50 lakh (an estimate, not a final cost). Wikipedia says the bridge was inaugurated around 1962 and an AMC list quoted by DeshGujarat dates it to 1962, while Construction World called it 61 years old in March 2021.
