A roughly six-lane Sabarmati river bridge linking Vadaj on the west bank with Dudheshwar on the east, built to take load off the Gandhi, Subhash and Chandrabhaga bridges. It is 755 m long overall, of which 285 m is over the river.

Inaugurated by Narendra Modi on Wednesday 13 April 2011 (the DeshGujarat report is filed under 13 April although its dateline reads 14 April); described at the time as the city's costliest river bridge. Sanctioned at Rs 31.39 crore with a 2007 target, the final cost was reported as Rs 48.74 crore to Rs 48.78 crore (two DeshGujarat reports differ slightly). Already under construction in February 2007. Contractor not named in the sources read.
