    The AMC standing committee approved a six-lane flyover of about 2.5-2.65 km passing above the existing bridge in September 2013 and tenders were invited in December 2013 under JnNURM. By May 2014 the plan had been dropped because the stretch was earmarked for the Metro alignment.

    A July 2008 report put the cost at Rs 52.14 crore with completion then scheduled for September 2008; the actual opening date was not found. A January 2014 report lists it among the existing north-south flyovers. Contractor not named. Cost is single-sourced.
